Hong Kong Dollar – US Dollar Chart
HKD is short for Hongkong dollar. The price of USD/HKD tells how many HKD are needed to buy one U.S. dollar. Hongkong is considered as the gateway for capital inflow and outflow of China. The Hongkong Monetary Authority conducts a Linked Exchange Rate mechanism, whose target is to keep the rate of USD/HKD around 7.80, when the rate of USD/HKD reaches to 7.75 or 7.85, the Hongkong Monetary Authority will intervene by buying or selling the USD.
